Major Arcana are the named cards from The Fool through The World. In Wand & Order, identity is only the first step: the Archives can also separate copies by the current color and trim treatment.

How to place Major Arcana

  1. Pull named Major Arcana out of the four suit piles.
  2. Separate the current visual variants before building a sequence.
  3. Match the color and trim already shown on the destination shelf.
  4. Arrange the card names in the order requested by that shelf.
  5. Treat placement feedback as the final check; a correct name can still belong to another visual group.

Current Major Arcana shelf map

Hotfix 1.1 moved some cards from silver to gold. The following post-hotfix grouping is the practical shelf reference:

Shelf groupCards
Blue / GoldThe Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune
Blue / SilverThe Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor
Purple / GoldThe Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgment, The World
Purple / SilverJustice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil

The 6/5/6/5 split accounts for all 22 Major Arcana. If one blue or purple shelf appears full, count the actual positions before moving a card to the other trim group.

Hotfix 1.1 changed this puzzle

The Sep 24 hotfix adjusted Major Arcana grouping and colors. If you started Zone 1 before the patch, recheck already placed Major Arcana rather than assuming the remaining card is lost. Old guides may show a valid pre-hotfix arrangement that no longer matches the current build.

Common causes of a rejected card

  • Correct card name, wrong color group.
  • Correct name and color, wrong trim.
  • Correct variant, wrong position in the shelf sequence.
  • A pre-hotfix placement or screenshot is being used as the reference.
  • The apparent gap belongs to another Major Arcana variant.
