How to Beat Wand & Order in Under 3 Hours
Quick answer
Planning checklist for the three-hour achievement run.
Treat the three-hour run as a routing challenge, not a first-play objective. Learn the shelf logic and search loops in an untimed clear, then remove backtracking from each zone.
Before the timer run
- Know the Archives tarot groups and current Major Arcana variants.
- Know the workshop's floor transitions and cabinet families.
- Know the Alchemy Lab's container families and upper-level search route.
- Plan cleaning during each floor pass rather than as one final lap.
- Decide when Vision, Magnetic Vacuum, and Auto-Place save the most walking.
Current patch rule
Powers do not recharge while paused under Hotfix 1.2. Older strategies that pause while waiting for Magnetic Vacuum or another power are outdated. Keep progressing through cleaning, carrying, or another item family while a power is unavailable.
Solo route priorities
- Finish one family at a time to minimize repeated room crossings.
- Combine cleaning with travel between item groups.
- Use Vision for the end of a known set, not on the first obvious pile.
- Use Magnetic Vacuum where matching items are dense.
- Save Auto-Place for awkward or distant displays.
- Run the missing-item loop once, in one direction, instead of searching the same center area repeatedly.
Co-op route priorities
Give each player a visible, temporary responsibility: one completes a known sorting family while the other searches and cleans. Regroup at floor or room transitions, not after every item. Avoid both players collecting the same family unless its destination is already established.
Practice split
Time the Archives, Workshop, and Lab separately before attempting a full run. The slowest split identifies whether your real bottleneck is classification, carrying, spell timing, cleaning, or last-item search.
